Converse County tourism board approves $16,500 Deer Creek Days grant, $750 EBA Bingo and marketing data contract

The board also approved a $16,500 grant to Deer Creek Days/Elevate Glenrock for the 50th-anniversary Deer Creek Days celebration June 26–28, 2026. Jane Garber moved the grant approval, Vicki Widiker seconded and the motion carried; board minutes record one nay on that vote.
On marketing data, Sagebrush Marketing presented a Placer AI opportunity to provide annual visitor-analytics services for Converse County. The board heard that entering the service now would be prorated to July 1 at $2,500 and then renew at $18,900 per year. John Rabun moved to enter the Placer AI contract and Candace Benedetta seconded; the motion carried.
The board also approved routine business: minutes from March 24, 2026 were approved on a motion by John Rabun, seconded by Vicki Widiker, and the financial report noting invoices paid totaling $44,564.44 was approved on a motion by Jane Garber, seconded by John Rabun.
