BLM updates Blackfoot River project; grazing groups file objections to fencing plan

Dave Pacioretty and Matt Randace of the Bureau of Land Management updated the Caribou County commissioners on the Blackfoot River project and fencing along the river. The BLM representatives said Idaho Citizens Grazing and the Chesterfield Grazing Association have filed objections to the BLM plan.
According to the update, BLM staff stated the fence will not impede the existing stock trail. The matter was presented as information to the board; no formal county action or vote on the BLM plan is recorded in the minutes.
