Commissioners approve claims, keep polling places unchanged and hear probation fee guidance
Summary
The board unanimously approved claims ($266,341.47) and payroll ($270,908.94), designated 2012 polling places the same as 2011, and appointed Duayne Sims to the Caribou Memorial Hospital Board. At the Jan. 23 meeting the Caribou County Board of Commissioners approved payment of claims totaling $266,341.47 and payroll claims of $270,908.94 and approved prior meeting minutes. Commissioner Phil Christensen moved the motion; Commissioner Earl Somsen seconded and the commissioners voted unanimously (Rasmussen yes; Somsen yes; Christensen yes).
Earlier in the meeting, Indigent Director and Election Supervisor Denise Horsley presented releases of liens and presented another lien for signature. Horsley told the board the polling places for the 2012 election year should be designated the same as in 2011; Commissioner Christensen moved to keep the polling places unchanged, Commissioner Somsen seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Justin Steele of probation presented a proposed probation fee schedule. Prosecuting Attorney Gregg Haney advised the board that an ordinance was not necessary because the schedule conformed to guidance from the Idaho Department of Corrections pursuant to Idaho Code 31-3201(d).
The board also agreed to appoint Duayne Sims to the Caribou Memorial Hospital Board. The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.; the next regular meeting was set for Feb. 9, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.
