Calhoun County department heads present updates and file FY 25/26 amendment requests

Public Health Director Barb Riley presented department updates and requested FY 25/26 budget amendments for Public Health. County Sheriff Pat Riley presented updates, requested FY 25/26 budget amendments and submitted the Civil Service Commission eligibility list; the board voted to accept that eligibility list unanimously.
Dewey Snyder, director of facilities, and Bruce Musgrave, EMS director, provided updates and requested FY 25/26 budget amendments relevant to their departments. Steven Heinlen, county IT director, presented updates and discussed a copier fleet proposal from Gordon Flesch Company. Auditor Jena Patzner presented amendment requests for the Auditor’s Office and for Mental Health funding.
The board did not take final action on the amendment requests at the April 28 meeting but scheduled a public hearing on FY 25/26 budget amendments for May 19, 2026, at 9:20 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room. No public comments or objections were recorded during the April 28 hearings.
The meeting also included a brief discussion about a proposed road-vacation resolution in Garfield Township; that item was discussed and not acted upon.
