Calhoun County hires MIDAS for comprehensive plan update; board sets budget hearing and approves payroll publication

The Calhoun County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted April 7 to contract with MIDAS Community Development to update the county Comprehensive Plan. Steven Stransky, MIDAS Community Development Director, presented the contract prior to the board’s approval.
The board also handled routine administrative and personnel matters. By motion the board approved the final payout of accrued vacation and compensatory time for Taylor Rose, who has separated from employment in the Auditor’s Office. The board approved the county’s 2025 employee wage publication as required and set the public hearing for the proposed 2026-27 budget for April 28, 2026, at 9:20 AM.
The board adjourned the meeting and set its next regular meeting for Tuesday, April 14 at 9:00 AM. These administrative actions were recorded as unanimous votes in the minutes.
