Calhoun County approves $269,003 in truck and plow equipment for secondary roads

On a motion by Supervisor Cory Ridgely, seconded by Vice Chair Dave George, the board approved a quote from Rees Truck and Trailer Inc. for a Mack Granite 42FR single rear-axle truck chassis for $138,114.09 and approved a quote from Hiway Truck Equipment for a snowplow equipment build package for $130,889.75. Secondary Roads Maintenance Superintendent BJ Musselman participated in the discussion. The board recorded the vote as unanimous.
The purchases will be used by the county’s Secondary Roads Department for winter maintenance and road operations. The board also approved routine related invoices elsewhere on the agenda. No amendments or public objections were recorded at the meeting.
