Clark public commenter urges board to oppose state guidance on transgender education and abortion instruction

"I'd like to talk against Governor Murphy's order... to teach transgender education to the kids and to teach abortion to the kids," Dragon said, adding that such instruction should be left to parents. He referred to recent national court decisions and related news items in support of his views.
The presiding officer enforced the meeting's public-comment time limit and closed the public-comment period after other speakers concluded. The board did not take a formal vote in response to the remarks. No administrative policy change was announced at the meeting.
