Mayor Dave Nickerson presided over the Jan. 20 New Lebanon Village Council meeting at which council approved two ordinances and confirmed several board appointments.
Council voted to approve Ordinance 2025-18, the 2026 pay scale for non-bargaining-unit employees. The motion passed on a recorded vote with one council member opposed. Council then approved Ordinance 2025-19 establishing the compensation rate for the interim village manager; that ordinance passed on a roll-call vote (four yes, one no).
Council also approved appointments to several boards. Chris Sans was appointed to the Planning Commission (term expiring 12/31/31) and to the Parks and Recreation Board (term expiring 12/31/28). Nicole Atkins was appointed to a seat on the Board of Zoning Appeals following a motion and unanimous roll-call vote.
The council approved the Jan. 6, 2026 regular meeting minutes (recorded as four yes, one no) and the Jan. 6 executive-session minutes (five yes, zero no).
Council members provided no additional public comment on the ordinances during the third readings. The ordinances will take effect as prescribed in their texts.
The meeting moved on after these votes; procedural roll-call tallies above reflect the recorded votes entered into the meeting record.
