Waterfront and roads: kayak allocations, brush removal, grading scheduled in 3–4 weeks

Waterfront Director Fred Pasler said he received many submissions for boat slips and preferred kayak rack positions and that allocations will be finalized after payment is received; he will post photos to help identify four kayaks with unknown owners. Fred reported brush near the pool that requires removal; although he secured a burn permit, the Fire Chief advised burning only in zero wind, so woodchipping was suggested as a safer alternative. A tree removal was proposed to add parking and volunteers (Kristie and Joshua Hutchinson) offered to take it down.
Road Director Joe Traniello updated the board on infrastructure planning: Marc updated the culvert map and Joe said a cost estimate is needed for the 5‑Year Committee. Joe and contractor Chris Carter inspected roads and noted they were in better shape than expected ahead of grading scheduled in about three to four weeks. The board discussed moving to a combined spring/fall road contract; the spring work is under contract to Chris Carter for 2025 while any fall contract will require a membership vote.
