Hidden Lake Association board halts pursuit of Ashworth debt, reviews accounts and maintenance plans

The Hidden Lake Association board met March 11, 2025, at the Davis Public Library and voted to stop further legal collection efforts on a disputed Ashworth balance, the board recorded in its meeting minutes.
Board President Chris Vachon brought the legal update to the floor and reported an outstanding receivable balance of $45,889. Citing legal costs, Vachon moved that the association cease pursuit of the Ashworth balance; Treasurer Fern Fisher seconded the motion and the board voted in favor.
Fern Fisher, the association treasurer, then presented the financial report. She listed balances across the association's accounts, including SBW checking of $107,495, a Waterfront account of $7,987, a Rainy Day fund of $15,624 and several certificates of deposit: an 18-month E-Fund CD maturing May 15, 2025 ($21,368), a 6-month E-Fund CD maturing Aug. 22, 2025 ($10,653), a 12-month E-Fund CD maturing Nov. 18, 2025 ($10,631), a 6-month Gravel CD maturing Aug. 6, 2025 ($10,030) and a 6-month Playground CD maturing Aug. 6, 2025 ($2,820).
On delinquency and collection actions, Vachon updated the board on current payment plans (lots 106-06, 111-19, 107-25) and accounts one month behind (111-04, 116-25, 115-82, 108-03). He also said the association is pursuing a judgment on lot 117-01; a 60-day notice was sent to the owner and lender on Feb. 24, with an April 25, 2025, deadline.
Recreation Director Mikki Falcone reported operational items, including outreach to Clearwater about pool-robot options; Clearwater's contact Mandy is confirming whether the A100Pro model self-docks. Falcone said she is awaiting a contract from Clearwater and will follow up about whether a cleaner will return for the 2025 season.
Waterfront Director Fred Pasler said boat stickers prepared by Gem Graphics are ready for pickup. Road Director Joe Traniello reported the Kings sink hole has been fixed, flagged two culverts for spring inspection, noted the possibility of straightening road signs (which may require new posts) and said roads are posted for mud season to discourage unnecessary traffic; he is monitoring a potential sink hole near Rice Brook.
Administrative items included edits to the April mailing that Chris Vachon will load into the association's Buildium account for distribution, and a scheduled five-year planning committee meeting on March 25 at the Davis Public Library. The board set its next meeting for April 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the library and adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
Actions taken included formal approval of the February minutes and the motion to drop pursuit of the Ashworth balance; other items were recorded for follow-up rather than formal action.
