At the Feb. 18 meeting of the Hidden Lake Association, President Chris Vachon summarized collection and lien activity and described the board’s next steps on disputed property taxes.
Vachon reported that all existing payment plans are current and that account 110-13 completed its payment plan in the past month. He said account 117-01 has been moved to legal to initiate further collection work. Board notes record that the overall outstanding balance is the lowest members recall in about seven years, though no supporting ledger was attached to the minutes.
On taxes, Vachon said he received differing directions from the town administrator and the town tax collector and that he will pay the association’s currently due taxes while initiating an abatement process for two lots the board is disputing. The minutes record this as the board’s working plan; the association did not take a formal recorded vote at the meeting on tax strategy or authorize litigation.
The board’s next administrative steps include awaiting updates from counsel on judgments and continuing to monitor payment-plan compliance. The association’s March meeting is scheduled for March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Davis Public Library.
