The Garfield County School District No. 16 Board of Directors on Oct. 8 approved Superintendent Dr. Jennifer A. Baugh’s goals for 2024–25 and authorized the district’s Colorado Department of Education Unified Improvement Plan (UIP).
Dr. Baugh presented her goals for the coming school year; Keith Gronewoller moved to approve and Brent Baker seconded. The board adopted the goals by unanimous roll call.
Assistant Superintendent Amber Clark then presented the district’s CDE Unified Improvement Plan for authorization as an action item. Kimberly S. Whelan moved to authorize the UIP; Keith Gronewoller seconded and the board approved the plan by unanimous roll call vote.
Board members did not record dissent on either vote. The approvals formalize the superintendent’s objectives and the district’s improvement strategy required by the state; administrators indicated the UIP aligns with district priorities for student supports and accountability.
