Medina County commissioners approve series of bids, personnel actions and transfers

At their May 12 meeting, the Medina County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a series of resolutions covering proclamations, procurement awards, personnel actions and finance transfers.
Key actions included approval of the May 5 and May 7 meeting minutes (motion by Commissioner Stephen D. Hambley, seconded by Commissioner Aaron M. Harrison), a proclamation designating May 2026 as Older Americans Month and May 20 as Senior Day (Resolution 26-0344), and award of the 2026 County & Township Pavement Marking Project (26-0345).
The board approved a change order to the Construction Manager at Risk agreement with Great Lakes Construction Co. for the Chippewa Wastewater Treatment Plant Project to meet Build America, Buy America requirements (26-0346) and accepted bids for the Chippewa and Lake Road Water Main Replacement Project (26-0347). The board also approved change order No. 1 with Kleinfelder Inc. for assistance with the PY26 CDBG application (26-0348).
Finance-related approvals included revenue adjustments, transfers to the County Home Levy Fund and Gasoline Rotary fund, authorization to transfer funds to the Medina County Print Shop revenue line, acceptance of the 2026 Unified Narcotics Interdiction Team Subgrant with OCJS and the Medina County Sheriff, and authorization of claims totaling $3,456,339.32 (resolutions 26-0351 through 26-0358). The board accepted a bid for the Medina County Career Center South Campus Parking Lot Replacement Project (26-0359).
Roll call showed all commissioners voting AYE on each motion; there was no recorded discussion on most items.
