The Sandown Board of Selectmen accepted a $500 donation April 20 to the Oktoberfest donation trust fund (two online donations of $250 and one $250 check). A motion to accept the donation was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff notified the board that Teamsters Local 633 provided formal notice it plans to negotiate a new police contract ahead of the current contract’s March 2027 expiration. The town will engage a new labor attorney for negotiations and plans to assemble negotiators later this year; staff said tentative agreement would be sought by January in the usual timeline.
The board also approved public minutes for March 23 and April 6, 2026, accepted non‑public minutes as read, and acknowledged correspondence from Solitude Lake Management about Angle Pond treatments and a separate notice from DES regarding an alleged wetlands violation off Lexington Drive. The letter about Angle Pond and associated maps are posted on the town website for public review.
No contentious debate was recorded on these items; motions for acceptance and approvals were passed by voice vote.
