Bowling Green honors bicycle safety advocates and launches community mural for America 250

David Mau, on behalf of the Bowling Green Community Foundation, described a separate public-art initiative: residents will paint 600 tiles that will be assembled into an 8-by-12-foot Liberty Tree mural to be installed at the Bowling Green City Building. Mau said tiles will be painted at public events including the Lunch in the Park unveiling (June 26), Firefly Nights on Main Street, BG Boom on July 3 and a July 16 Rotary event, and that the project received matching support from the Greater Toledo Community Foundation. "Each tile comes with its own paint colors and brush," Mau said, urging broad community participation.
Desa, representing the Greater Toledo Community Foundation, thanked local partners and noted the project reflects regional philanthropic support for the American 250 celebrations.
