Council to consider renewal of STC senior-transport contract with $5 resident fee

Human Services Director Kathy Parsson presented a contract renewal for the city’s transportation service for medical trips and outlined a rate increase and a new resident fee.
"The rate did go from $41.26 in 2025 up to $46 in 2026," Parsson said, and staff propose implementing a $5 resident fee starting Jan. 1, 2026, as shown in Exhibit A of the contract. Parsson said everything else in the contract remains unchanged and framed the item as a routine renewal.
Councilor Brian Dunlap thanked Parsson for the work on the renewal and indicated he was comfortable with the proposed terms. The council agreed to place the renewal on the agenda for formal consideration; no final vote was recorded at the work session.
