The Pat Conroy Literary Center announced Camp Conroy for day campers ages 12 to 14 running June 22 through June 26 at the Conroy Center, 601 Bladen Street in Beaufort. This year's theme is "AI, Artful Intelligence, Creativity and Technology," and campers will explore how artificial intelligence can sometimes enhance, not replace, human creativity while collaborating to build a book for publication.
Camp Conroy will guide participants through writing, design, critique and editing; instruction will be provided by Camp Conroy's counselors, three full-time adult instructors, and special guest presenters, the bulletin said. Each camper will receive a copy of the camp anthology after publication. The registration fee is $250 and includes one week of instruction, camp activities and healthy daily snacks.
The on-air announcement did not include registration caps or enrollment instructions; listeners were directed to the county news page for press materials and sign-up details.
