Mr. Barersford presented two related pieces of legislation: a symbolic resolution concerning the proposed veterans memorial and a resolution amending Resolution 13-2025 to change the approved location of a static display from Community Park to the new municipal building.
He said council may approve the change or leave the static display in Community Park; the matter was framed as a council decision. A council member asked City Manager Nichols to check what would be involved in running electrical service to the municipal-building site for the memorial while construction work is underway, to avoid later sidewalk disruptions. Nichols agreed that this is the logical time to run power to the site.
No adoption vote was recorded during the work session; the resolutions were presented for council consideration and staff follow-up on site utilities was requested.
