"They want us to have a plan in place because a lot of communities have been hit with ransomware," Montello said, and he noted that payments or extraordinary expenditures related to an incident should receive council approval and that some reports must be filed with state authorities within seven days.
Earlier in the meeting Village Engineer Joe Galat summarized the sidewalk project, described upcoming bid openings and standard project steps, and noted the village may seek Community Development funding with a maximum request of $200,000. Council also referenced several resolutions on the agenda — including a planning‑commission reappointment item described during the meeting — and did not finalize those votes at the committee meeting.
A motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved; Councilman Neiel recorded a "Yes" on roll call and another affirmative was noted.
