Old Town swears in Joshua Laoren as deputy police chief

Old Town — The City Council and Police Department held a ceremonial swearing-in Feb. 3 for Joshua Laoren, who was promoted to deputy chief of the Old Town Police Department.
Chief of Police Dave White introduced Laoren, recounted his local roots and public-safety service, and noted prior recognition and awards. "We have the privilege to promote Josh Lauren, a dedicated public servant with deep roots in this town," White said, citing Laoren’s years of service and leadership roles.
Laoren took the oath to support the constitutions of the United States and the state and to faithfully discharge the duties of deputy chief. Councilors and department members offered congratulations and brief remarks before the council moved on to its regular agenda.
