After a public hearing on the state-recommended general assistance maximums, the Chelsea town board moved, seconded and adopted the general assistance appendices for the period Oct. 5, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025. The chair opened the hearing and said most municipalities accept the state’s recommended figures; the board then moved to adopt the appendices on the record.
The clerk presented consent-agenda warrants (AP warrant numbers and payroll warrants) for approval and the board moved to approve items A through K. The transcript records motions and seconds for the consent agenda and policy adoptions; no roll-call tallies were provided in the record.
The board also reviewed and accepted changes to the town’s tax receding policy at the request of auditors and reached consensus to schedule a special meeting on Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. to consult with the town attorney on a legal matter. The meeting record shows motions and seconds for these routine governance items and did not indicate contested votes.
