Bala thanked the board and district colleagues, praised mentors and administrators, and thanked family members who joined her at the meeting. "I'm I'm truly honored to continue this work at East Lyme High School and serving this community," Bala said as she accepted the appointment.
The board asked Bala to join future meetings for photos and to help the public see the faces of district leaders. No opposition or amendments were recorded; the appointment was processed as a standard personnel action and recorded in the minutes.
