"I just want to thank board of education and the state and and I'd also like to say thank um Kevin Maru here," a coach at the podium said as she accepted the recognition and singled out colleagues and assistant coaches.
Board members emphasized the program's longevity and community impact. Kevin Maru and Nick Manday introduced the item and noted the team's ECC championships and state-level success; a state citation signed on June 15, 2026, was read into the record.
