Residents press Southampton committee on Allied Recycling fire; officials await fire marshal reports

Young, Sr. said the township is awaiting reports from the State and County fire marshals to clarify the cause and any required follow-up.
Other public comments included questions about water surges in Vincentown, anticipated traffic from the Good Farm development, ownership of the Big Hill Landfill, and a request to reinstall digital speed-limit display signs on Ridge Road. Fire-company representatives (Scott Mitchell of Vincent Fire Co. and Joe Collins of Hampton Lakes Volunteer Fire Co.) reported department activity, calls and training for the month and accepted public acknowledgement of the departments’ work.
No formal action or directive about Allied Recycling was recorded in the meeting minutes; the committee did not announce any enforcement findings at the meeting and indicated it was awaiting external fire-marshal reports.
