Southampton Committee adopts ordinances, resolutions; shared-services vote passes 4–1
Summary

The Southampton Township Committee on Aug. 20 adopted two ordinances and several resolutions, and approved routine bills and administrative actions.
Ordinances - Ordinance 2019-4 (amending/supplementing the township salary ordinance) was opened for public comment; no members of the public spoke. The motion to adopt was made by Committeeman Mikulski and seconded by Committeeman Bill Raftery. The roll call vote was unanimous in favor and the ordinance was adopted. - Ordinance 2019-7 cancels and reappropriates funded appropriation balances totaling $17,500 for replacement/repair of public works vehicles. Resolutions and administrative actions - Resolution 2019-82 adopted salaries in accordance with the salary ordinance (motion: Committeeman Mikulski; second: Committeeman Raftery; vote: unanimous). - Consent agenda Resolutions 2019-83 through 2019-85 made adjustments to the tax collector’s records (motion: Committeeman Heston; second: Deputy Mayor Rossell; vote: unanimous). - Resolution 2019-86 approved the corrective action plan responding to recommendations in the 2018 audit (motion: Committeeman Heston; second: Deputy Mayor Rossell; vote: unanimous). - Resolution 2019-87 authorized a shared-services agreement with the Township of Lumberton for improvements to Smithville Road, contingent on final approval by both parties.
