Tremont Select Board tentatively accepts Wharf, Harbor, Seal Cove and Fire Department FY27 budgets

At its March 2 meeting the Tremont Select Board took tentative votes on several FY27 budget items.
Select Board member Eric Eaton moved, and McKenzie Jewett seconded, to tentatively accept the Wharf Fund budget for total expenditures of $34,257 in FY27; the motion passed unanimously. The board then tentatively accepted the Harbor Fund at $75,749 and the Seal Cove Fund at $6,122 on unanimous motions by Eaton and Jewett.
The board reviewed the Tremont Volunteer Fire Department request and tentatively accepted the department's FY27 budget request for $161,356 after a motion by McKenzie Jewett and seconded by Eric Eaton; that motion passed unanimously.
Town Manager Jesse Dunbar presented the manager’s proposed FY27 budget later in the meeting; no motions were made on the manager’s full proposal during this session. The tentative votes recorded in the minutes mean the items will be carried forward in the budget process for final adoption at a later meeting or at Town Meeting.
