At its Dec. 15 meeting the Tremont Select Board appointed Alan Feuer to the Ambulance Service Representative seat on the Public Safety Building Committee, with the appointment running through June 30, 2027.
The motion to appoint Mr. Feuer was made by Kevin Buck and seconded by Eric Eaton and was recorded as passing unanimously.
Later in the meeting the Town Manager requested the board find that public discussion of personnel matters could reasonably be expected to damage employees’ reputations or violate privacy, and to enter executive session under 1 MRSA §405(6)(A). The board voted to enter executive session on that basis; they entered at 6:03 p.m. and closed the session at 7:34 p.m. The minutes state no motions were made during the executive session.
Why it matters: The appointment fills the Ambulance Service Representative seat on the Public Safety Building Committee and is a formal, public-record action. The executive session was used to discuss personnel matters in accordance with the cited Maine statute; the minutes record the board’s finding and the session times but do not disclose discussion content.
At the meeting: Alan Feuer was present and acknowledged in the minutes as the appointee; Select Board members Jamie Thurlow, Kevin Buck and Eric Eaton approved the appointment.
