Salem announces cybersecurity training partnership with Ohio Cyber Range Institute

Wagner said the training is valued at more than $150,000 and comes through funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. He described the program as a statewide initiative that provides tailored training to the city.
Council members thanked Wagner for the report and for bringing the training opportunity to Salem. The presentation did not include a formal vote; council acknowledged the update and moved on to other business. The announcement signals a planned, ongoing training effort to support the city’s cybersecurity posture and personnel training plans.
