The Beekmantown Town Board voted to accept playground equipment offered by BCS after Darryl reported he sent a $1 bid letter to the school district and the district agreed to the transfer. The board adopted Resolution 112-26 to accept the equipment for placement on town property; the motion was moved by Mr. Sand and seconded by Mrs. Turner and passed unanimously.
On a separate parks item the board approved Resolution 113-26, authorizing Dave Manney to solicit three bids for surfacing the pickleball courts. Board members noted that if the project exceeds $10,000 the town should obtain three bids for comparison, but if under that threshold the board may select the lowest responsible bidder. Dave Manney told the board he knows of only two local companies capable of performing the surfacing work.
Both actions were recorded as approved in the minutes; the board provided direction to pursue bids and accept the playground equipment donation.
