The Garfield County School District No. 16 Board of Directors approved multiple procurement and curriculum items at its May 13, 2025, meeting, authorizing purchases for classroom technology, instructional materials and facility repairs.
Chief of Operations and Innovation Nathan A. Humphrey presented a technology purchase for Teacher Chromebook Plus devices, docking stations, 27-inch monitors, keyboards, mice and a document camera for $69,423.25 from CDWG; the board approved the purchase on a roll-call vote. The board also approved a copiers purchase as presented.
Assistant Superintendent Amber Clark requested and the board approved several instructional purchases: Heggerty program libraries and professional development for the Grand Valley Center for Family Learning for $7,089.20; Ramsey Financial Literacy curriculum for Grand Valley High School for $9,635.50; and a science curriculum for Grand Valley Middle School and Grand Valley High School for $155,784.52. The board approved the purchase of marching band uniforms for Grand Valley High School from Stanbury Uniforms for $27,921.15.
The board authorized replacement of the boiler/water heater at Grand Valley Middle School from Taft Engineering for $43,245.80, with installation costs capped so the total will not exceed $50,000. All motions carried by roll-call votes with directors Baker, Gronewoller, Tomasulo and Whelan voting aye and Director Stewart absent.
District administrators said supporting contracts and specifications are available in the district administration office. No public comment was recorded on these action items.
