Gene Wypyski, Chair, told the Budget Committee that the Town and the Fogg Library have drafted a Memorandum of Understanding intended to address "a lack of clarity and transparency" on operations and funding; he provided committee members with copies of the draft for review. Wypyski said the Select Board has placed the MOU on its Jan. 8 agenda.
Wypyski also showed an image of a proposed pavilion for Hammond Park and described the structure as a capital improvement project intended for Town and resident use. Committee members received the materials for review but did not take formal action on the MOU or the pavilion at the Jan. 7 meeting.
The Chair directed members to review the MOU draft and to submit any questions to him; he said he would include any related questions in the broader list the committee will send to the Town Manager ahead of the Jan. 14 meeting.
