Superintendent Dr. Jennifer A. Baugh reported that Master Maintenance, LLC has been contracted to maintain district landscaping — tasks such as tree trimming, weed control, mulching and mowing — for the April through October season. As part of the change, the district’s current groundskeepers have been transferred to other custodial and maintenance capacities across the district.
Dr. Baugh said the district will conduct an assessment to establish a preventative maintenance schedule, prioritize required maintenance, address staffing and HVAC training needs, and evaluate cost-effectiveness. The minutes do not include a timeline for the assessment or detail savings or costs expected from the reorganization.
