Commission approves PUD amendment for Condo Suites Otsego with revised staffing and hours approach

On May 18 the Otsego Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve an ordinance amending the PUD district for Condo Suites Otsego, as requested by applicant Craig Dollansky of Boyd CIC.
Dollansky asked the commission to permit 24-hour operation for physical recreation uses and to allow more than two employees per business. Commissioners discussed conditional 24-hour access measures—such as requiring garage doors to be closed to limit noise—and City Planner Daniel Licht recommended tying limits on the number of employees to the square footage of each suite rather than a fixed headcount.
Commissioner Jill Metzger moved to approve the ordinance amendment with amended conditions (noted as changes to conditions 1d and 2a in the planning discussion). Commissioner Charles Foster seconded the motion. The motion passed 6-0.
The commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for final action.
