Rachel (committee lead for building, grounds and transportation) reported the auditorium lighting package will be rebid after receiving no compliant bids, but an electrical contract — the one approved at the meeting — will move the project forward. The board also discussed generators: the board office generator is installed and tested weekly, and a used generator acquired for the high school (sourced from a hospital) awaits a transfer switch before installation; once installed, trustees said it would power the entire high school rather than only emergency lighting.
Committee members detailed planned summer facility work including painting and appearance upgrades, and a short-term fix and longer-term planning to address insufficient residential plumbing at the community field restrooms. Trustees also discussed placing a sinking-fund renewal on the fall 2028 ballot; the sinking fund would cover building repairs, roof replacement, technology and buses.
The board approved the auditorium electrical bid by voice vote (7–0) and moved to continue facility planning and bidding as needed.
