The Select Board discussed a memorandum of understanding with the Island Institute at its May 27 meeting. A. Woog said she had confirmed with the Town’s liability insurer, MMA, that required liability insurance would be provided under the MOU, but she had not yet confirmed whether workers’ compensation coverage would apply. E. Best suggested contacting MEMIC regarding the Town’s policy. The Board also discussed whether the Island Institute fellow’s work would be conducted in person, remotely, or in a hybrid arrangement; S. Miller said she expects initial in-office work with hybrid options once deliverables are identified. A. Woog will provide this feedback to the Island Institute fellow.
The minutes record these discussions and direction but do not show a recorded vote approving the MOU; Woog will follow up on outstanding insurance questions.
