Blue Hill Select Board notes fire‑station open house, staff CPR training and raises questions about Hannaford intern housing and a mobile vending permit

Board Chair E. Best reported that the new public safety building's open house drew about 50 to 60 visitors and announced an open house for the existing fire station on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
A. Chapman told the Board that several Town Office staff members completed First Aid/CPR/AED training and certification on March 26, 2026. Select Board member S. Miller noted that Miller's 2026 budget review slideshow has been uploaded to the Town website for public review.
Under other business, E. Best said they met with representatives of Hannaford and the company's real estate agent about housing for Hannaford interns. Best said the proposed dormitory would not include furniture, internet or cooking facilities but that Hannaford offered to supply those amenities; Best said the Board will ask Hannaford for details about how interns will be supervised and will consult the Town's insurance provider.
The Board also noted that The Blue Chill submitted a mobile vending permit application with a vague description of its proposed route. The Board recorded that S. Gleason, identified as one of the owners, will attend the next Select Board meeting to clarify the proposed vending route and operations.
The meeting concluded with routine administrative actions and adjournment at 6:44 p.m.
