North Baltimore: water-plant reimbursements, East Broadway resurfacing on schedule; CSX offers parking lots for events

At the Nov. 12 Village of North Baltimore council meeting, the fiscal officer reported that reimbursement for replacement of Filter #1 at the water plant was finalized at $74,000 and that reimbursement for mowing near CSX property totaled $8,500. Mayor's Court software upgrades were reported as ongoing.
Village Administrator Bender reported the East Broadway resurfacing project is on schedule and slated to be completed by Thanksgiving. Administrator Bender also provided status updates on the Water Street bridge replacement project, stormwater improvements, combined sewer overflow structure modification, and lead service line replacement; full details are noted in the attached administrative report referenced in the minutes.
CSX submitted a revised offer for community parking and temporary events on their lots; Administrator Bender suggested the lots could be useful for a future monthly farmers market. Mayor Aaron Patterson said the Festival Committee determined additional lots were not necessary for future festivals. Council member Hefner questioned whether CSX would bring the property up to standard before any agreement and expressed opposition to chain-link fencing or barricades on the property.
