Exeter council approves consent calendar and community beautification projects; closed-session claim rejected

Separately, the council approved a community beautification request to paint one fire hydrant with a patriotic theme (motion passed 5–0) and approved replacement options and expenditures to replace streetlight Christmas-decoration donor plaques along Pine Street (motion passed 5–0). Public Works Director Zachary Boudreaux and City Administrator Jason Ridenour presented those items.
The City Attorney reported for the record that the council rejected a liability claim filed by Deborah Ince on behalf of decedent Alvin Lynn Ince during the earlier closed session; no additional details about the claim were disclosed in open session.
No substantive public comments were presented during the meeting. The council adjourned at 8:38 p.m.
