Marion County commissioners approve consent items including HR changes, a juvenile IGA and treasury corrections

The Marion County Board of Commissioners approved the consent agenda on June 1, voting unanimously to adopt several administrative and intergovernmental items.
Human Resources presented recommended upward adjustments to salary ranges for Human Services Trainees and Election Board workers and proposed a new classification, Guaranteed Attendance Program (GAP) Case Manager (#203). The Juvenile Department brought forward an intergovernmental agreement with Linn County to allow periodic use of Linn County juvenile detention beds for Marion County juveniles in the amount of $5,000 through June 30, 2017. Legal Counsel received a petition for annexation of property along Talbot Road South to the Santiam Water Control District and set a public hearing for June 29, 2016.
The Treasurer’s Office presented an order to correct Fiscal Year 2015-16 1st and 2nd quarter State Timber Distributions and a resolution to increase the Public Works change fund from $400 to $600. Commissioner Janet Carlson moved to approve the consent agenda; Commissioner Sam Brentano seconded and the motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
