The Boothbay Board of Selectmen took several formal actions at its Jan. 8 meeting, approving appointments and permits by unanimous votes.
Appointments: Selectman Russell Pinkham moved to appoint Shri Verrill to the Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission and to appoint Tracey Hyson as Registrar of Voters (a two-year appointment); Julie Roberts seconded and the Board voted 4-0 in favor.
Wharves and Weirs permit: The Board approved an application from Luke's Boatyard Inc. (Map U7, Lot 17, 15 Luke's Gulch, East Boothbay) to replace an existing pier, raise it 2 feet 4 inches and add two braces. Bryer noted the application carried approvals from the Planning Board, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the harbormaster; Selectman Pinkham moved approval, Roberts seconded, and the vote was 4-0 in favor.
Routine business: The Board voted 4-0 to review warrants and sign them upon review and voted 4-0 to adjourn the meeting.
