Benton County renews three‑year lease with Cedar Valley Ranch at $75 per resident

The Benton County Board of Supervisors on June 9 approved a three‑year renewal of the county’s lease with Cedar Valley Ranch at a rate of $75 per resident per month, effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.
Henry Bratten, director of Cedar Valley Ranch, asked the board to continue the current lease terms in light of changes in health and human services and redistricting. He confirmed that under the lease the facility’s tenants remain responsible for care and maintenance of the premises and for providing an inventory of furniture, equipment, vehicles and consumables at the start of each year.
Chairman Tracy Seeman moved and Supervisor Ronald Tippett seconded approval of the renewal; the motion carried unanimously.
The board’s action keeps the existing per‑resident rate in place and directs county staff to complete the lease paperwork for the new three‑year term.
