Mills County supervisors approve routine business, alcohol licenses and LOST allocations

Supervisor Lonnie Mayberry moved to approve the consent agenda — including the May 26 meeting minutes, department reports and accounts payable — and Supervisor Jack Sayers seconded the motion. The motion carried on a 3–0 vote.
The Board approved renewal of the Class C retail alcohol license for Belle Terre, effective June 4, 2026. The motion was recorded as moved by Supervisor Mayberry and seconded by Supervisor Richard Crouch; the vote was Ayes 2, Nays 0, with Supervisor Jack Sayers recorded as abstaining.
The Board also approved a five-day special Class C retail alcohol license for Best Nest Farm Hospitality LLC, effective June 26–30, 2026. That motion passed with the same tally: two ayes, no nays and one abstention from Supervisor Sayers.
The Board approved placement of a tree on the courthouse lawn at the request of Glenwood Betterment; the motion passed unanimously. Supervisors approved allocation of $10,000 in LOST funds to Golden Hills for FY27 and a $6,000 LOST contribution for SWITA, and authorized signing the SWIPCO Rural Transit System Joint Participation Agreement for FY27; both motions passed by unanimous 3–0 votes.
The meeting closed routine business with committee reports and adjournment at 9:00 a.m.
