The Town of Bradford Select Board voted on Sept. 16 to repair a damaged section of Station Road and to pave Reeves Road once the Station Road repairs are completed.
Levi Surette moved to pave Reeves Road and Station Road after needed repairs to Station Road are finished; Carlene Oakes seconded and the motion passed 4-0. The minutes record a contractor quote of $11,500 to repair the damaged section; the repair length is described in different parts of the record as about 200 feet and 220 feet. The repair scope recorded in the minutes includes removing existing pavement, removing about 12 inches of subsurface material, placing 8 inches of 4" gravel, compaction, fabric, 4" finish gravel, compaction, then 2" shim (binder) and a 1½" top coat.
Board members discussed that a previous motion from Sept. 5 was withdrawn before the new motion passed. The board directed staff to proceed with repairs and subsequent paving once the repairs are completed. No additional funding source or contract award was specified in the minutes.
