Planning Board elects officers; conservation group seeks invasive-plant funding for 2025–26 budget

Bremen — The Bremen Planning Board elected officers at its Jan. 14 meeting and the Selectmen received an update on a proposed invasive-plant project that the Conservation Commission plans to include in next year’s budget request.
At the Planning Board’s Jan. 14 meeting, members elected Mark Tenney as chair and Nick Delprete as vice chair. The board handled two applications and routine business in a meeting the minutes describe as approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes; the board continues to advertise one regular vacancy and one alternate vacancy.
During the Selectmen’s Jan. 16 meeting, Ann Nesslage, representing the Bremen Conservation Commission (BCC), briefed the board on a recent budget discussion and said the BCC will send an email to the Selectmen with cost details for an invasive-plant management project the commission intends to propose for the 2025–26 town budget.
Chair Wendy Pieh also reminded residents that the Solar Committee will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. and that the deadline to submit budget requests is Feb. 14, 2025. The deadline to submit material for the annual Town Report is March 14, 2025.
