On Feb. 20, 2025, the Bremen Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to accept a mowing proposal from J&H Landscaping for the 2025 season for $19,585. The board approved the contract on a motion by Selectman Steve Page, seconded by Selectman John "Boe" Marsh.
The proposal represents a $2,285 increase compared with the total amount expended under the current mowing contract; the board was told the higher figure reflects several additional areas that the Bremen Conservation Commission requested be added for the coming season. The office will execute the contract and staff will incorporate the expense into the town's 2025–2026 budget review, which the selectmen scheduled to continue Feb. 26.
Selectman Page made the motion and Selectman Marsh seconded; the vote was 3-0 in favor. The motion and tally were recorded in the minutes. The contract award completes vendor selection for routine grounds maintenance ahead of the spring season.
