Greenfield council confirms committee, planning and zoning board appointments

The Village of Greenfield council unanimously approved a set of committee assignments and nominees for two advisory boards at its Jan. 20 regular meeting.
Chairwoman Amie Ernst moved to receive the minutes and then presented nominations for council committees, naming Councilwoman Margaret Mobley to the Finance Committee and assigning Chairwoman Ernst to the Ordinance Committee and Economic Development Committee; Vice‑Chairman David Weaks was placed on the Parks & Properties and Health, Safety & Welfare committees. Mrs. Mobley moved to receive the committee members as nominated; Mr. Weaks seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Ernst also read Mayor Chris Borreson's nominations for the Planning Commission: Council appointee Margaret Mobley, Aaron Pryor, Steve Fligor and Paul King. Ernst moved to receive the Planning Commission members as nominated; Weaks seconded and the council approved the nominations by voice vote.
For the Board of Zoning Appeals, Ernst nominated Amie Ernst (Council Chair), Scottie Rooks, Nathan Campbell, Brent Johnson, Amy White‑Storer, Gary Binegar and Gary Newell. Mrs. Mobley moved to approve the BZA members as nominated; Mr. Weaks seconded and the motion carried.
Each nomination was accepted without recorded opposition; councilors voted yea 3, nay 0 where roll calls were recorded. The appointments will populate the advisory bodies that handle zoning, planning and related land‑use matters in the village.
