On the expenditure side the single largest change was a final actuarial adjustment to the city’s pension contribution, which increased the city’s obligation by more than $350,000 for the current fiscal year. Healthcare cost shifts and transfers between major/local streets were also detailed in the presentation.
Johnson said the amendment is primarily housekeeping to ensure appropriations meet the budget‑act requirements in the final days of the fiscal year and that his expectation is the city will finish under appropriations in many departments. Council member Lrod moved to approve the amendment; the measure passed on a roll call vote.
The council approved the amendment during the June 15 meeting; Johnson said staff will return with a year‑end report once fiscal‑year closing work completes.
