River Ridge board discusses FY2025 budget, receives Pinehurst inlet repair estimate and approves minutes

The River Ridge board continued discussion of the FY2024/2025 budget, reviewed active agenda items and administrative matters, and received a contractor estimate for Pinehurst inlet work at its July 23 meeting.
District Manager Mr. Adams presented MRI Construction Estimate #C060-24 for $10,692.88 to keep debris from blocking the Pinehurst inlet structure; Mr. Adams noted an additional proposal is being obtained and the item will remain on the agenda. The board also reviewed the unaudited financial statements as of June 30, 2024, including budget-variance details and the proposed five-year plan.
Mrs. Adams presented the June 25, 2024 meeting minutes and, after corrections (for example, changing "Samantha De Guras" to "Samantha De Gyras" and changing a role to "Assistant to District Counsel"), the board approved the minutes on a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Gilman, with all in favor.
Early in the meeting the board had authorized Chair Bob Schultz to attend and participate via telephone/Zoom; that authorization was approved by motion and recorded as unanimous. Staff noted a traffic project sign was installed and that further sign installations would require 10-foot decorative poles in strategic locations. The Board set its next meeting and the FY2025 budget adoption hearing for Aug. 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
