Planning director announces data-center listening session; commissioners approve two-lot Sheckler Hills plat

Planning Director Nathan Biler presented the Sheckler Hills plat forwarded from the May Plan Commission meeting, describing it as a two-lot replat adjusting lot lines and easements at the west end of Sheckler Road. The board moved to approve the plat as presented and the motion carried by voice/hand vote.
Biler also announced the Plan Commission will hold a public listening session on data centers on Wednesday, June 24 at 7 p.m. in the Government Center meeting room. He emphasized the session is intended as a listening exercise — "truly a listening session that plan commission wants to have" — not a formal public hearing on a specific application; the goal is to gather public input to guide future code development and questions for potential proposals.
The board encouraged public participation in the June 24 session to inform future planning work on the topic.
