River Ridge CDD adopts goals and performance measures to comply with HB7013

District counsel and management briefed the River Ridge Community Development District on a new legislative requirement and the board approved initial goals and performance measures at its Aug. 27 meeting.
Tony Pires (district counsel), Mrs. Cleo Adams and Mr. Chuck Adams explained that newly adopted state law (HB7013) requires special districts to establish and report annual goals and objectives and to develop performance measures and standards. Management and counsel proposed general performance measures grouped under Community Communication and Engagement; Infrastructure and Facilities Maintenance; and Financial Transparency and Accountability.
The board approved the Goals and Objectives and the Performance Measures/Standards & Annual Reporting Form on a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly. The minutes state the initial report is due Dec. 1, 2025 and must be posted on the CDD website; staff added the task to the Key Activity Dates list.
